How do you motivate yourself to exercise when you just don’t feel like getting off the couch? I ask myself this question all the time, and I am quite sure I am not the only one.
For me it's getting over the painstaking 2 week hurdle, once I am able to do this I find I start to feel better and the habit starts to stick. There are tons of ways to find the motivation to exercise, These have worked for me, but trust me, I’ve had days when I’ve struggled to get off my butt.
My number 1 go to strategy is to get a workout buddy, each keeping the other partner accountable for turning up to exercise. No matter what I am feeling before the workout, I always feel better after a good workout. I use that as motivation for the next workout if I'm not feeling like working out.
